Helix Lamp

This is a RGB effect helix lamp. It has several light modes, an IR remote control and can also rotate. 

It is driven by 20 5mm WS2812 and a AVR microcontroller. 

The thing is 3D printed and glued together. The tubes are printed in vase mode to make the hollow and thin walled. 

The power and also bootloader communication are done with a slip ring. 

The rotation is done with a gear motor and 3D printed parts. The balls are not 3D printed and provide a (not very) smooth rotation. The electronics are coarsely glued in place.
